A place where nothing is left to chance

We care for the mental health of children and adolescents, keeping in mind that behind every child stands a parent who also needs support and clear answers.

We created the place we were looking for ourselves as mothers.

This story begins with experience. And with the questions that many parents ask themselves when they see their child struggling with something difficult, something troubling, something hard to put into words.

Over the years, trying to find support for my daughter, I came to know the world of child psychiatry and psychology from the inside. There were good moments, but too often what was most needed in those situations was missing: attentiveness, empathy, continuity and a calm way of communicating. I came to understand something very important — that parents are an integral part of the treatment process, and that the system does not always give them the space to truly be that.

From this need came the idea of creating a place I would have wanted to find myself as a mother. A place where a child is not a "patient with a problem", but a young person in the process of growing up. And where a parent does not leave the consultation room feeling guilty, but feeling empowered and genuinely supported.

Our clinic is more than medicine. It is a way of thinking about the child, the family and treatment. We want children and adolescents to have access to psychiatry and psychology that does not stigmatise, but supports. For families to know they are not alone. And for doctors and therapists to have the conditions to provide attentive, responsible, long-term care.

This is how Równoważni MED came to be — a place created by mothers, with parents and their children in mind.

I brought Aleksandra into this idea — a mother of two, a woman who brings to Równoważni MED a sensitivity to the everyday reality of families, to relationships and to closeness. Together we combined two worlds: my strategic and organisational experience with her practical, deeply human approach to building a place grounded in trust.

Równoważni MED is, however, something more than a set of specialist consulting rooms. It is a space designed to support the process of recovery — calm, light-filled and welcoming to both children and adults. We wanted children to feel safe here, and parents to be able to slow down for a moment, catch their breath, have a good coffee, get some work done or simply sit in quiet. The waiting room is not an "antechamber of stress" — it is part of the experience of being cared for.
